IS RELIGION THE SOURCE OF THE PROBLEM OF THE BLACK MAN?
Is Religion the Source of the Problem of the Black Man? This thought-provoking message examines the question of whether religion is truly responsible for many of the challenges facing the African society. It challenges the tendency to blame Christianity, the Church, or religion for problems that may instead be rooted in the actions, choices, attitudes, and failure to practice the values people have been taught. Using examples from everyday life, history, Scripture, and African society, the message explores the difference between simply being religious and allowing the principles of faith to influence how we live. It also considers the consequences of abandoning truth while searching for external causes for our struggles. Ultimately, the message calls for honest self-examination, responsibility, and a return to the practical application of godly principles rather than simply blaming religion for the problems around us. Read the full message and consider the question for yourself: Are we blaming religion for problems that we have the responsibility to change?

You Have What It Takes to Be the Change You Want!
You Have What It Takes to Be the Change You Want! The only thing permanent in life, the saying goes, is change! If you are tired of the way things have been going in and around you, then know that it is time to initiate a change. Do not expect others to do it for you if you are not willing to get it done! Stephen Hawking said, “However difficult life may seem, there is always something you can do and succeed at.” It is time to discover same! Stop looking at the situation of things in life, finding fault, or pointing accusing fingers. Instead, identify your area of strength and push towards that direction. You are not ordinary! There is something extraordinary about you. You must, however, understand that extra and ordinary are two different words. Measures must be applied to bring both words together. Yes indeed! The raw materials used in creating you are too expensive such that your Maker can never stand to see you fail. Or probably it is yet to dawn on you that you are a desire, dream, and eventual design of Jehovah Adonai. The Lord your God says that you may have failed or fallen, but you are not a failure. Put yourself together and go for that change you desire and long for. Notice the fact that no one finds life easy! Even the Lover of your soul who made you in His image and after His likeness never promised an easy life. The Lord rather assures that with Him, all things are possible. Your efforts in the past may not have yielded fruits because you went solo, thinking that you were equal to the task. Of a truth, you are, but you must acknowledge Him, commit your ways unto Him, and let Him lead you. When the Ancient of Days leads and you follow, there will be no missing the way. Should danger loom, the Lord takes completely over, bears you in His palms, and does the working all by Himself. Change is on the way, but you must champion its course! This is the truth you must endeavor to embrace. It is he who feels it that also knows it. Anyone wearing the shoe knows where it hurts. Much as God is All-Knowing, He does not force anyone against their will. Let Him in. Ask Him to have His way, for by strength no man shall prevail. Whatever you say no to cannot stand! Hear this and believe it: “Your destiny is in the hands of just two people; you and your Maker.” Any other is an intruder! Intruders can delay one’s destiny, but they do not have what it takes to deny it. Be therefore strong, bold, and courageous. If it fails to click today, tomorrow is pregnant and will give birth to heart-warming and joyous things. Do not be faint-hearted! Keep going. Keep striving and keep believing. Shalom!

Shed Some Weight: Let Go and Move Forward
Shed Some Weight! You are not obese, but you are too heavy! Until there is the appetite to lift yourself up, the efforts of others will be of no effect. Only you can solve this problem. Stop thinking that there are forces, both human and spiritual, hampering your success. There is no denying their existence, but in this very issue, you are responsible for your plight. You do not need specified diets, nor do you require a trip to the gym or sports centers. All you need is the determination to lose some weight. You might take for granted these points I am raising, or might even think that I am stressing you, trying to make a mountain out of a molehill. But I know what is being addressed and its weight. Between you and that height you dream about is a heavy burden begging to be lowered. Interestingly, it is within your power to get it done if only the will is there. The Holy Bible encourages us to lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily ensnares us (Hebrews 12:1). A tip which is often taken for granted! Who can run a race with the intent to win and still have loads on? The road which leads to eternal life is so narrow that all one requires is just one’s ticket. Wake up and shed some weight!

Rest Is Found in Restlessness: How Challenges Build Us
Rest Is Found in Restlessness! Genesis 27:40; Psalm 55:6 It is great to desire to have rest from troubles! But can there really be rest? Man born of a woman is born into trouble (Job 14:1). This is why you are configured to be supernatural so as to fix natural issues. It is in you and dates back to your day of conception. Prince Nico sang thus: “Igba ti mo wa l’omode, iya mi so fun mi pe, aye yi ma lee.” As such, instead of wanting to run or fly away from trouble, the best thing is to seek out the right way to handle situations. The solution to every trouble is embedded in the same trouble (1 Corinthians 10:13). God permits challenges so as to see us develop that which is in us. Every challenge you overcome immunizes you against another and stirs up the onlooker. This is why, if you want to have rest, you must make up your mind to be restless. I read the story of a woman who felt that she had suffered more than all others. Check out what her father did: He boiled water in three different pots. He put a carrot in one, an egg in another, and coffee beans in the last. After the same number of minutes, he brought them down. Moral lesson: The carrot went in hard and came out soft. The egg was fragile but became hardened by the cooking. The coffee changed the water and brought taste to it. Everyone goes through issues, but you are the determiner of how you will come out of yours.
